Five Years of Phi Delta

Branding and Identity

Phi Delta is Alpha Phi Omega’s 508th chartered chapter to be founded on campus. It was founded at Cal Poly Pomona in 1969 and rechartered in 2013. The Phi Delta Chapter at Cal Poly Pomona celebrated its 5th anniversary of chapter rechartering on May 24th, 2018. To celebrate the fifth anniversary of the rechartering, the Public Relations Chair reached out to me to create a new modern logo to mark a new era of the chapter. The objective was to create a whole new logo design to be used on their social media outlets and as stickers to advertise the event. Two versions of the logo is used: one for the Five-Year Anniversary and the other for general and future use.

Sunset Waves
(Wave hello to a-phi-o)

Branding and Identity | Illustration

Every term, Alpha Phi Omega’s Phi Delta Chapter at Cal Poly Pomona devises ways to help advertise to students to join the organization. During the Fall of 2018, the Public Relations Chair reached out to me to design shirts and stickers for the upcoming Recruitment Week. The fraternity had decided on a beach theme for the upcoming fall semester, so I decided a wave illustration would be a great representation. From the illustration, the Public Relations Chair decided to name the Fall 2018 Recruitment Week theme as “Wave Hello to A-Phi-O”.

This illustration acts as a form of advertisement by being printed on t-shirts for members to wear during Fall 2018 Recruitment Week and as stickers to hand out to potential members. From this design, the organization was able to get over 40 potential members and had narrowed down to have a pledge class of 26 students. The organization hasn’t had a pledge class this big since Fall 2015.
